Privacy policy
This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy from cavarli.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Cavarli is the data controller. Reach us at support@cavarli.com.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. Payment card details go straight to our payment processor and never reach us.
When you browse: your IP address, approximate location, device and browser, the pages you view, and how you arrived. This comes through cookies and similar technologies.
When you contact us: whatever you write to us, so we can answer.
If you subscribe: your email address.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, and to handle returns. Without this we cannot perform the contract.
- To show prices in your local currency, based on your approximate location.
- To prevent fraud and protect the store. This is our legitimate interest.
- To measure how our advertising performs and to show you relevant advertising. This only happens with your consent.
- To send you email if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe from any message.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed, with:
- Shopify, which runs this store and processes payments
- Our fulfilment partner and carriers, to get your parcel to you
- Meta, for advertising measurement, where you have consented
- Our email provider, if you subscribed
- Authorities, where the law requires it
We do not sell your personal information.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work, and, with your consent, cookies for analytics and advertising. You choose when the banner appears and can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings on the site.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires. Support emails are kept for two years. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to another provider. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Email support@cavarli.com and we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the regulator where you live.
